The Blueberry

Hello There!

My name’s Rebecca.

I like trees, food, being a “sister-of-the-corn” (if you ask my siblings) fiddler, Christmas Elf, forest enthusiast.  I like hillbilly music and anything with banjo.

My very favorite though is being partner-in-crime to this stud muffin:

This isn’t a real specific place, mainly what you’ll find here is some everyday humor, tidbits  of ‘Day in the Life’ (the  least I can do is try and give you a laugh at the end of your  long day).  Along the way we’ll do some general appreciation  for our highs and lows and mental field trips to the world  around us.  I After starting this blog my freshman year of college I realized between the everyday humor and living sitcom we can live in, people (myself included) are a mess, unknowingly searching for unconditional love, freedom and significance, however we search for it within a conditional world.  We are truly “Ill With Want” in this world of ‘darkness flooded with light’ (in case we haven’t figured this out, I’m a big Avett Brothers fan).  For a better explanation click this.

“If I find myself a desire which no experience in this world can satisfy, the most probable explanation is that I was made for another world”–C.S. Lewis

“We do not want merely to see beauty, though, God knows,  even that is bounty enough. We want something else which can hardly be put into words — to be united with the beauty we see, to pass into it, to receive it into ourselves, to bathe in it, to become part of it.”-C.S. Lewis

What’s with the name? Well I couldn’t figure out a blog name for around a year, so I’d been blogging under the title “The Blueberry Days” which I like but when I moved to wordpress the new title hit me on the head.  Remember poetry units? Every time I was asked to write a poem during my young schooling years it always ended up being about fruit.  The first historical fruit-piece done by my young pre-school self went something along the lines of “when the sun goes down it is good-night.  Then it is good-morning. Time to pick the fruit.”

My poetic genius progressed over the years till in 9th grade I was asked to write a poem describing myself.

I described myself as a blueberry.

The Blueberry, who writes about blueberry days and wants to hear about your day! Which fruit are you? Please share.

And in my spare time I’m a wizard.  By that I mean nurse of course!

Thanks for stopping by!!!
